8. Snack Ideas

Since some foods are inherently more nourishing than others, here is a list of snack ideas that may help you dial in your diet. Remember, this is a list of things for you to try. Come up with your snack ideas based on what foods are good for you

 

·     Apples and Peanut, Almond, or Sunflower Butter

·     Cheese of all varieties

·     Avocado wrapped in Turkey

·     Olives

·     Nuts (raw or you can find great recipes to season them just the way you like)

·     Beef Sticks and Jerky (look for high quality, low sugar)

·     Cucumbers, Carrots, Celery

·     Tuna with Avocado Mayo

·     Veggies and Hummus or Almond Dip

·     Fruit and cream or coconut cream (if you’d like it sweeter, try adding stevia, monk fruit, raw honey, or real maple syrup)

·     Chia Seed Pudding

·     Hard Boiled Eggs

·     A Smoothie (perhaps with good-quality protein powder added)

·     Yogurt (unsweetened) with Berries. 

·     Bananas, Pears, Plums, Kiwis… you get the idea.

·     Kefir

·     Kimchi

·     Saur Kraut

·     Charcuterie boards can be easy to throw together and even make good road-trip food if thoughtfully packed.
